These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Rubbish Removal Roehampton provides waste clearance and rubbish collection services to domestic and commercial customers in the United Kingdom. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below.
Client means the individual, company or organisation that books or receives services from Rubbish Removal Roehampton.
Company, we, us or our means Rubbish Removal Roehampton, the provider of the rubbish removal and waste collection services.
Services means any rubbish removal, waste collection, waste clearance, loading, transportation, recycling, or related services provided by the Company.
Site means the property, premises or location where the Services are to be carried out.
Waste means the items, materials or substances that the Client asks us to remove, collect or dispose of.
2.1 We provide rubbish removal and waste collection services for household, garden, office and light construction waste, together with associated loading and transportation to an authorised waste transfer, recycling or disposal facility.
2.2 We reserve the right to refuse to remove any items or materials that we reasonably believe to be prohibited, hazardous or unsafe to handle, including but not limited to asbestos, chemicals, solvents, oils, gas bottles, clinical or medical waste, biological waste, and any waste for which we are not appropriately licensed or insured.
2.3 Our Services do not include dismantling of fixed structures, specialist demolition, plumbing, electrical work or any services that require professional trade qualifications, unless expressly agreed in writing.
2.4 All Services are provided subject to availability and may vary depending on access, Site conditions and the nature and volume of the Waste.
3.1 Bookings can be made by telephone, email or through an online enquiry. A booking is only confirmed when we have provided you with a confirmation by telephone, email or other written communication.
3.2 When making a booking, you must provide accurate information about the type, estimated volume and location of the Waste, along with details of access, parking and any restrictions at the Site.
3.3 Any quote or estimate provided prior to attendance is based on the information you give us. If, on arrival, the volume, nature or location of the Waste is different from that described, we may adjust the price, refuse part of the load, or decline the job if it is unsafe or not as described.
3.4 You must ensure that a person over 18 years old who is authorised to approve the work is present at the Site at the agreed time, or that we have clear written authority to proceed in their absence.
3.5 We will use reasonable efforts to attend the Site during the agreed time slot, but times are estimates only. We are not liable for any losses resulting from delays caused by traffic, weather, access issues or circumstances beyond our control.
4.1 We may provide a guide price or estimate based on your description of the Waste. The final price will be confirmed once our team has inspected the Waste on Site.
4.2 Prices are generally based on the volume and weight of the Waste, the type of materials, labour required, and any access or parking constraints. Additional charges may apply for heavy loads, difficult access, waiting time, or extra labour.
4.3 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices are inclusive of standard disposal and recycling charges.
4.4 If we discover additional Waste on Site that was not included in the original quote, we will advise you of any revised price before proceeding. If you do not accept the revised price, you may cancel that part of the Service and pay only for any work already completed.
5.1 Payment is due on completion of the Service on the day of collection, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance in writing.
5.2 We accept payment by cash, debit card, credit card or bank transfer, subject to the payment methods we offer at the time of service.
5.3 For commercial Clients or repeat customers, we may agree credit terms. If credit terms are agreed, invoices must be paid within the period specified on the invoice. Failure to pay on time may result in suspension of Services and the application of interest on overdue amounts.
5.4 We reserve the right to request a deposit or full payment in advance, particularly for larger clearances or out-of-hours work.
5.5 If payment is not received when due, we may charge interest at the statutory rate applicable under UK law, as well as reasonable costs we incur in recovering the debt, including legal fees and collection charges.
6.1 You may cancel or reschedule your booking by giving us at least 24 hours notice before the scheduled collection time.
6.2 If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, we may charge a cancellation fee to cover our costs, including allocated vehicle and labour time.
6.3 If our team attends the Site at the agreed time and is unable to gain access, or the job cannot proceed for reasons within your control, we may treat this as a late cancellation and charge a call-out or cancellation fee.
6.4 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the Service at any time due to circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, vehicle breakdown, illness, safety concerns or legal restrictions. In such cases, we will offer a new appointment time as soon as reasonably possible, and any prepayments for cancelled Services will be refunded if you do not accept a new date.
7.1 You must ensure that the Waste to be removed is clearly identified and is located in an area that is reasonably accessible to our team and vehicle.
7.2 You must obtain any necessary consents, permissions or permits required for access, parking or loading, including any local authority permits for restricted zones or controlled parking areas.
7.3 You must inform us in advance of any factors that may affect the Service, including limited access, stairs, high-rise buildings without lifts, security restrictions, or shared driveways.
7.4 You are responsible for ensuring that no prohibited or hazardous materials are included with the Waste. If we discover such items, we may refuse to remove them or charge additional fees where appropriate disposal is possible.
7.5 You must not ask our team to carry out any work that is unsafe, unlawful, or outside the agreed scope of Services.
8.1 We will exercise reasonable care and skill when carrying out the Services. However, we shall not be liable for any pre-existing damage to the Site, driveways, paving, flooring, fixtures or fittings.
8.2 While our team will take care when moving Waste through your property, minor scuffs or marks to walls, floors, doorframes or other surfaces can sometimes occur. We will not be liable for cosmetic damage that arises unavoidably from moving large or heavy items through confined spaces unless caused by our negligence.
8.3 We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Services.
8.4 Our total aggregate liability to you in respect of any claim arising under or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid or payable for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.
8.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9.1 Once the Waste has been loaded onto our vehicle, it becomes the property of the Company and we accept responsibility for its transportation and disposal in accordance with applicable waste management legislation.
9.2 We operate in compliance with relevant UK waste regulations and duty of care requirements. Waste is transferred only to licensed or authorised facilities where it is sorted, recycled or disposed of lawfully.
9.3 Where required, and for commercial Clients in particular, a waste transfer note or other documentation may be provided, setting out the nature and quantity of the Waste, along with our carrier details.
9.4 We aim to divert as much Waste as reasonably possible from landfill by reusing and recycling suitable items. However, we do not guarantee that any specific item will be reused or recycled.
9.5 If you provide Waste that is misdescribed, contaminated or mixed with prohibited materials, and this leads to additional disposal charges, penalties or regulatory issues for us, you may be held responsible for those extra costs.
10.1 You must provide suitable access to the Site for our vehicle and team. This includes adequate space to park legally and safely within a reasonable distance of the Waste.
10.2 Any parking charges, fines or penalties incurred due to inaccurate information or lack of appropriate parking arrangements may be passed on to you.
10.3 If access to the Waste is restricted, involves multiple flights of stairs, long carry distances, or other challenging conditions, additional labour or time charges may be applied. These will be discussed with you before work continues.
10.4 We reserve the right to refuse or suspend the Service if our team considers that the Site is unsafe, unsanitary or presents a risk to health and safety. In such circumstances, a call-out charge may apply.
11.1 We maintain appropriate public liability insurance for the Services we provide. Details of our insurance cover can be supplied on request.
11.2 It is your responsibility to maintain adequate insurance for your own property and belongings. We recommend that you check your home, contents or business insurance policies in connection with any clearance or removal work.
12.1 If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our Service, you should inform us as soon as possible, ideally on the day of collection, so that we can seek to resolve the issue promptly.
12.2 Complaints should be made by telephone or in writing, providing your name, address, contact details, date of Service and a clear description of the issue.
12.3 We will investigate complaints in good faith and aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe. Where appropriate, we may offer to return to the Site, provide a partial refund or propose another form of resolution.
13.1 We collect and use personal data such as names, addresses, contact details and Service information in order to process bookings, provide Services, handle payments and manage our business.
13.2 We will handle your personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. Your details will not be sold to third parties. They may be shared with trusted partners or service providers when necessary to deliver our Services or meet legal obligations.
13.3 By providing your contact details, you consent to us using them to communicate with you about your booking and related Services. You may opt out of any non-essential marketing communications at any time.
14.1 We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect from the date they are published or otherwise notified to you.
14.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions that applies to your Service will be the version in force on the date you make your booking, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
15.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
15.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise.
